Old Girl Achieves Sax Diploma Distinction
Friday, 10 June 2016
In March, Natasha Lomas, performed her examination for the Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL) diploma in saxophone performance. She has now received her results and has been awarded a distinction.
This is a remarkable achievement, not least because only 25% of entrants to this level of examination pass and only 8% of those achieve a distinction. However, not only has she proved herself among the most talented musicians to take this examination, the saxophone is in fact her second instrument: she is currently studying at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) as a clarinet player!
Natasha recently performed one of her examination pieces before a live audience at Bolton Parish Church. This week, she played at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall with the Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Company Big Band.
