A portrait by Antonia Jameson in Year 13 has been announced as runner up in the Secondary Category of the national YPO Art Competition. Her artwork will be featured in the YPO catalogue and the School will receive £100 worth of art supplies.

This year the YPO Art Competition saw a record-breaking number of entries with over 300 pieces of artwork submitted by children of all ages across the country. Another Bolton School student, Zainab Emritte in Year 12, was also shortlisted in the final ten of the Secondary Category with her watercolour featuring birds.

Earlier this year, Antonia won an Achievement Award and the Overall Winner prize at the Best of Bolton Schools’ Art and Design Exhibition, held at the University of Bolton.
