Riley Sixth Form Centre Commended at Natural Stone Awards
Thursday, 08 January 2015
The Riley Sixth Form Centre was entered into the ‘New Build Modern Style Stone Cladding’ category at the 2014 Natural Stone Awards.
The awards are held biennially by the Stone Federation, a organisation which promotes the use of natural stone as a building material. The awards celebrate the use of natural stone in its various forms and applications. There are six categories encompassing new builds with modern-style cladding, new builds using traditional stone masonry, repair and restoration, interiors, landscaping, and craftsmanship.
The Awards Ceremony was held on the 5th of December, with architects, designers, clients, contractors and natural stone professionals gathering to celebrate the best natural stone projects and the teams behind them. It was great to see the Riley Centre as one of the worthy competitors in this competition, which included entries from across the UK.
The building received a Commendation in the ‘New Build Modern Style Stone Cladding’ category.
