Scholarship Success for Tejal

Recent leaver Tejal Shanbhag has been awarded a scholarship from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers!

She applied for the scholarship earlier in the year and was short-listed to attend an interview at the start of September. Her answers on the application form and her performance at interview together won her the scholarship.

The prestigious IMechE scholarship is worth £2,000 per year for the duration of her time at university. She will travel down to London next week for a formal presentation of the scholarship.

After receiving four A* grades at A Level, she will soon join her first choice university: Trinity College, Cambridge, where she will read Engineering.

Tejal is still waiting to hear back from the Arkwright Scholarships Trust about her recent interview for a second Arkwright scholarship. In 2012, Tejal was one of three Bolton School students selected to receive a two-year scholarship to support her passion for Engineering throughout her A Levels. She attended the awards ceremony in London, and was sponsored by Rolls Royce.
