"I remember my days at school vividly and with great affection. Bolton School has a great tradition in the liberal arts. I've always acted for the love of it and this first love was inspired at Hopefield, the school theatre."

Sir Ian McKellen - Actor and Old Boy

Sixth Form Panto for Bolton Hospice

Friday, 17 December 2010

Sixth Form Prefects have been raising money for Bolton Hospice with their 'Prefects Panto'!

Students wrote the pantomime themselves and took on the roles of their teachers in a show which saw the 'teachers' battling among themselves as to who would make the best Head of the School, and the girls did some excellent impressions of the staff!

Lower school pupils, Sixth Form girls and staff packed the theatre to watch the performances, each giving a donation at the door. The girls decided to donate the money raised to Bolton Hospice in memory of former Senior Mistress Doctor Brown.
