Bolton School Junior Boys
Overview of the Junior School Curriculum
Pupils in each of the Year Groups, 3, 4, 5 and 6, are based with Form Teachers who have responsibility for pastoral issues. There are two equal ability Forms per Year Group.
Pupils are encouraged to give of their best by the award of Merit Marks and participation in inter-House competition - there are four Houses. Recognition is made in School Assemblies of pupils' efforts and achievements by the presentation of appropriate individual and House trophies.
Y3 pupils are taught predominately by their form teacher moving on to specialist teachers in Y4, 5 and 6. The provision of specialist teaching in specialist study areas leads to excellence throughout. In all subjects our standards match or exceed the requirements of the National Curriculum. All pupils are given the strongest possible preparation for the Bolton School Senior School Entrance Examination.
The teachers in the Boys' Junior School are so understanding and caring.
