Bolton School Junior Girls
Junior Girls' Admissions and Application
Girls that join our Junior School are intelligent, eager to learn with an interest in the world around them and may have talents and passions in a range of extra-curricular activities. We advise that the best way to find out more about us is to contact us to arrange a private tour of the School for you and your daughter on a normal working day and to enjoy an informal meeting with the Head.
Girls are admitted to the Junior School at any stage in any of the year groups from Year 3 to Year 6, space permitting. Many girls choose to join us at the age of seven for entry into Year 3. An Assessment Test is held in January each year (for those pupils applying from schools other than Bolton School Infant School) for entry in September of that year. This test can be taken at other times during the year for entry into other year groups and enquiries should be directed to the Junior School using the contact details shown below. Candidates need to demonstrate a good level of competence in English, Mathematics, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
Where there are enquiries for assessment mid-year and year groups are full, a shortened assessment will be offered. Should a place then become available parents will be contacted and their daughter invited for further assessment. Offers will be made on academic merit alongside any other relevant indicators of potential.
Headteachers' reports and Key Stage 1/2 results are taken into account before final offers are made.
For more information about entry into the Junior School and for a prospectus and application form, please contact the School Secretary on 01204 434761 or at firstname.lastname@example.org
