Bolton School Junior Girls
What The Parents Think
Our daughter thoroughly enjoys Hesketh House and all the opportunities which it affords to the students. We have found the school to be caring, approachable and to provide an excellent environment.
Hesketh House is truly a one-of-a-kind place. Highly skilled, helpful and reflective staff across the school provide a very high quality of learning.
Hesketh House balanced academic rigour with a sense of fun. This is achieved both by a supportive and encouraging environment fostered by every member of staff, and also an extensive range of opportunities which allow every girl to find her passions and talents. At Hesketh House, it seems every girl feels comfortable in her skin yet never rests on her laurels.
We would like to say that, as parents, we really value the school's adherence to traditional values and its empowerment of the individual.
My family has always found that the teachers at Hesketh House care deeply about the welfare and academic achievements of their pupils, and are quick to respond to any concerns. Additionally, the breadth of extra-curricular opportunities has been invaluable to my daughter's development.
Hesketh House is a magical place of adventure, discovery, learning, friendship and joy. The girls, albeit within a modern, disciplined, hard-working atmosphere, appear each evening as though sprinkled with fairy dust. Eventually, as they leave for Seniors, they emerge as butterflies from their chrysalises.
We have had absolute trust that the care and support our daughter needed would be there for her - which is a wonderful feeling! She has grown in confidence and independence and loves to learn. We have all enjoyed her time at Hesketh House - there is a very real partnership between home and school in fostering learning.
I can't begin to tell you how much our daughter has gained from Hesketh House and how much we appreciate everyone's involvement. Her individual learning needs have been recognised and she received the support she needed to grow as a person, too.
The most enjoyable aspect of Hesketh House's environment is that no day is ever the same and never a dull moment.
My daughter has learned a tremendous amount that will definitely make her an enthusiastic, responsible and reliable person in her future career.
Hesketh House - a place of no regrets.
I just wanted to pass on my thanks to you all for keeping us up to date at this very difficult time. The remote learning worked fantastic last time and I’m sure it will again.Year 6 Parent
Brilliant first day! Not a clue how you have all done this with twelve hours notice, especially when eight of those hours should have been sleep! You’re all stars. The structure and work having to be submitted has been brilliant. Well done all!Year 3 & Year 5 Parent
Can we pass on our thanks to you and all of the team for getting this sorted so fast. It is certainly not an easy situation with it being so fluid but you have handled it excellently.Year 3 Parent

Could I please kindly take this opportunity on behalf of our family to thank you all both individually and collectively at Hesketh House; for your incredible dynamism and tenacity in these challenging times. With all the hardships and difficulties we are all facing out here fighting this Virus, I don’t even know how to express the feeling of knowing that at least our daughter is safe, happy, motivated, inspired and feels seen and valued in her learning environment.Year 3 Parent
Thank you for another brilliant round of zoom school. The structure and deadlines for submissions are just what the girls need, especially at the moment. ... The standard of learning has been brilliant and the girls have both really enjoyed the learning challenge and science work and I have loved the music quizzes!Year 3 & Year 5 Parent
As we’re coming to the end of home schooling (hopefully for good!) we wanted to message you. Although no-one wanted this to happen, I do think from our point of view there has been some positives. It’s been fantastic to have an insight as to the teaching methods and the interaction between the teachers and the girls on Zoom and how they’ve kept them engaged and spirits up.
Mrs Holt, Marsden and Forshaw really do have a great relationship with all the girls but especially for Tabitha that fun and close bond has really brought the best out of her this year. She enjoys the interaction with her teachers, and it makes her want to learn and work hard. This style works really well for Tabitha and I’m sure the same can be said for a lot of the girls.
We wanted to let you know how impressed we have been with her teachers this year and in this difficult period.Year 5 Parents
