A very warm welcome to Hesketh House, our Junior Girls' School. We like to think of our school as a friendly and happy place, buzzing with activity and positive energy! The atmosphere here is very supportive and purposeful, and this is what underpins our pupils' successes in all fields—academic study, sport and music.

Although Bolton School is an academic institution, we are very realistic in our approach, recognising that individuals have different strengths. We provide a wide range of opportunities for our pupils to make the most of their particular talents both within the curriculum and in the many exciting activities which take place outside the classroom.

Underlying everything that we do is a set of simple but far-reaching values: an understanding and respect for others, a sense of responsibility, the importance of self belief, and a realisation that we all depend on each other.

We are proud to be part of a School which combines a strong sense of tradition with real innovation. Our philosophy in the Junior School is a simple one: Do your best in all things, whether in work or in play.
