When you join the Sixth Form at Bolton School, along side your A Level studies, you will take part in the Horizons Programme — a wide range of activities that reach far beyond the curriculum.

Our Curriculum Enrichment Programme (CEP), the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and our Sixth Form Entrepreneurship Scheme will broaden your knowledge and experiences, whilst our wealth of leadership, sporting, performing arts, volunteering and outdoor learning opportunities will help to further build your life skills and confidence.

Our Futures provision ensures that you have the tools and support you need as you move on into young adult life, through careers activities with our alumni and with industry professionals, and providing guidance as you make applications for Higher Education (HE), Degree Apprenticeships, employment or to study aboard.

As you move through the Sixth Form and prepare for your adult life beyond, your wellbeing is paramount.  Our provision and support for Sixth Form students is practical and accessible, helping you to find the balance between your studies, your social life and the many exciting opportunities available to you here beyond your curriculum.
