It is unquestionable that the continued success of the Old Boltonians' and Old Girls' Associations is attributable entirely to the committed voluntary endeavours of the Associations’ members over many years.
As Head of Foundation, Philip Britton had long believed that the School should recognise the long-standing commitment of individuals, whose enduring dedication to both their Association and to the School has enabled so much success across several decades. During the Spring of 2024, he founded the Distinguished Service Awards, to recognise such significant and sustained service to the two Alumni associations. These awards are to be made entirely at his discretion, and will remain completely separate to the School's Alumni of the Year Awards inaugurated in recent years.
As 'shining examples' of the exceptional service which he wishes to recognise, Mr Britton was pleased to award the Distinguished Service Award to the following members of your Associations. Each was celebrated during an Alumni gathering here at School.
