Through joint projects, shared events and outreach programmes we aim to breakdown barriers and create inclusive spaces for learning and growth. Whether it’s hosting workshops, offering access to facilities, or supporting local initiatives, our commitment is to creating mutual partnerships which enrich education and strengthen relationships for the good of all.

Primary Partnerships
Our Partnership Team collaborates with local state primary schools to plan and deliver a range of events and activities to enhance their curriculums. These include hands-on, engaging sessions for pupils in our setting, workshops and visits to schools by subject experts and the sharing of resources and facilities to meet the needs of schools.

Secondary Partnerships

Partnering with local secondary schools helps to broaden the experiences of their pupils through attendance at a range of A Level taster lessons. These collaborative initiatives foster mutual enrichment by sharing teaching ideas, resources and expertise across sectors, to encourage a culture of exchange and innovation.
Higher Education Partnerships
We lead key projects partnering with higher education providers. The sharing of ideas, skills, facilities and knowledge helps to give young people in our community information, guidance and enthusiasm for future career pathways, raising engagement and aspiration for many.

Sports Partnerships

Bolton School is delighted to be able to host and organise a range of sporting events for young people across our local community. Our calendar of activities includes vast football tournaments where boys and girls from primary schools across the North West compete with one another; opportunities for young people to experience sports new to them; and the chance to host PE events and exchange expertise with teaching colleagues.
Creative Partnerships
Naomi Lord, Bolton School’s Director of Creative Learning, leads our Foundation creative partnership work. Naomi’s skills, experience and profile within the cultural landscape allows Bolton School to support a wide number of creative learning projects and initiatives. Creatives Now, a youth led collective, successfully reaches out to young people of Bolton through a range of cultural ventures.

Community Partnerships
Our outreach programmes and community action projects place social responsibility and mutual support at the centre of what we do. Working with charities and organisations within Bolton, and further afield, to deliver initiatives to benefit a large number of young people and families. These include an extensive Sixth Form volunteering scheme, working alongside Onside Youth Zones and The Bursary Foundation in bursary outreach programmes, and the sharing of facilities, spaces and colleagues.
