Standards High at Music Festival

Junior Girls Music

Young musicians at the Junior Girls’ School impressed everyone with their performances on a wide range of instruments at this year’s Music Festival.

The Music Festival began on Monday with Kathryn Page adjudicating the Piano classes, which were organised by year group. On Tuesday, the music continued: Andrew Pettitt was the adjudicator for the instrumental, voice and ensemble classes. As well as a strong Beginners class, there were also groups for Woodwind, Strings and Vocal. The day ended with a lovely performance from the Choir and a Piano Duet. Both adjudicators found it difficult to allocate the awards as the standard was so high!

Throughout the Music Festival, the performers were delighted to have an opportunity to play for a live and in-person audience of Junior Girls.

All of the Music Festival winners have been invited to perform again at a Celebratory Concert, to be held in early March.
