School's Careers & HE Fair is Open to the Public

Whole School Career Development


Our biennial Careers and HE Fair will take place in the Great Halls and Riley Sixth Form Centre at Bolton School in person on Thursday 31 March from 6.00pm-8.30pm.

The event is open to the general public and is aimed at Y9-Y13 pupils who can bring along one parent or guardian. There is no need to pre-register; guests can just turn up on the night.

Over 40 universities and local, regional and national businesses are already signed up. 

Universities that will be attending include Cambridge, Oxford, Durham, Bath, Warwick, Newcastle, Manchester, Lancaster, Glasgow Liverpool, Sheffield, Central Lancashire, Edge Hill and more.

Pupils can also talk to representatives from a range of accountancy, law, insurance, architecture, medical and chartered surveying firms as well as from The Octagon, the Police, the Army and the Royal Air Force.

Throughout the evening there will be lots of opportunities for individual consultations and group discussions as well as a series of career-focussed seminars and presentations aimed at helping students apply to university and consider their future options. These will include sessions on Applying to Oxford and Cambridge, Creating a Competitive UCAS Application, Applying to Dental and Medical School, and Apprenticeships.
