News Of Former Pupils Charity

Lostock Tennis Club in Bolton played host to, in their own words, ‘a chaotic coalescence of two 1970s Bolton bands that achieved absolutely nothing.’ Former Bolton School pupils and friends, Mark Radcliffe, Tony Wadsworth, Rick Pilkington and Andy Wright, came together 'for one night only' to form ‘super-group’ Black Cat Airlift. It had been fifty years since the then competing bands of Berlin Airlift and Black Cat Bone had first performed and the audience was delighted to be taken back to 1972, so much so that one night became two.

Earlier in the week, Mark Radcliffe, Rick Pilkington and Andy Wright visited Bolton School and enjoyed watching pupils perform drama and music.

The two gigs, held on 25 and 26 November, raised £900 for Trust Music in Bolton, a charity that believes in music as a power for good in the lives of all children.
