Francesca Longton, a Year 5 pupil in the Junior Girls’ School at Bolton School, along with her younger brother, Henry, a Year 3 pupil in the Junior Boys’ School, made a Pre-Christmas donation to Derian House, a local children’s hospice.
Francesca chose Derian House as she wanted to be kind and thoughtful to those at Christmas who are less fortunate and she used her own money to go to the local town to purchase products the hospice needed; items such as toiletries for older children and arts, crafts and books for younger children.
Brother and sister were given a tour of Derian House, which allowed them to appreciate what happens in a hospice and what services are offered.
