The Hall
Patterdale Hall provides spacious facilities for group residentials while retaining many of the building’s Victorian features. We specialise in providing competitively priced, fully catered accommodation, with an outdoor activity package if required, for up to seventy people.
Patterdale Hall is located at the heart of a 100 acre site with rolling lawns, beautiful gardens, woodland and stunning views from every direction. We also have an adventurous gorge that flows through the grounds of the estate.
Our extensive grounds allow access straight onto the Lakeland fells for walking and mountaineering and easy access to Ullswater for a plethora of water activities.
Accommodation
Our accommodation consists of two wings each sleeping approximately 32 guests in en-suite dormitory style bedrooms.
The sleeping accommodation can be arranged in a number of ways including by age or gender and can also allow two smaller groups to share the centre.
Including an extra dorm in our Coach House, we have 71 participant beds and beds for up to 10 visiting leaders (in smaller shared ensuite bedrooms).

Catering & Dining Room
We offer fully catered stays for all of our groups, supplying three meals a day including a cooked breakfast, evening meal, and a sandwich or packed lunch as well as self service tea, coffee and squash.
Our menu is designed to suit the group(s) in residence in terms of type of food and quantity.
The catering team at the hall are adept at catering for a variety of special diets for those with food allergies or intolerances. To find out how we manage special diets please see our procedure detailed in the Useful Documents section of this site.
Centre Facilities
The centre has many other facilities that are available to guests for residentials; ask us and we probably have it or can arrange it for your stay.
There is a games room with pool, table tennis and table football.
Classrooms can be made available on request. We also have flipcharts, presentation screens, apple TV, speakers etc.
Outdoor Facilities
As well as our wide range of indoor facilities we also have a variety of outdoor facilities that groups are welcome to utilise throughout their stay, in our expansive gardens, including table tennis tables, giant chess and garden jenga.
