Scholarships for Pupils Joining Us in Year 7
A number of new Scholarships are available to pupils entering either the Girls’ or Boys’ Division in Year 7. These generous Scholarships are not means-tested and are awarded to those pupils who, we believe, will make a strong contribution to the academic and wider life of the School.
Half and full organ scholarships are available in the Boys' Division - further details can be found here.
The Leverhulme Centenary Scholarship Award was established in 2015 in honour of the Centenary of the School to provide financial support to Sixth Form students going on to university. In continuation of that scheme, Bolton School will award four such Scholarships in 2019 across the two Divisions. Further information can be found here.
Separately, the School continues to offer generous bursary support to those who need fee assistance. Currently one in five of our pupils between the ages of 11 and 18 receives bursary support. You can find more details on bursaries here.
The Scholarships are offered at the discretion of the Headmistress or Headmaster following the Bolton School Entrance Examination and Interview. You can find out more details about our Entrance Testing Day here.
Further information and application forms to sit our Entrance Examination are available from Charlene Griffiths-Jackson (Girls’ Division: firstname.lastname@example.org) or Angela Fenton (Boys’ Division: email@example.com) on 01204 840201 or by visiting this web page.
