I Am Looking For

Employment, Teacher Training and Governor Opportunities

Bolton School employs approximately 175 teaching staff and 280 support staff and has over 2,400 pupils. The School provides education for boys and girls from age 4 to 18. Pupils can start in the co-educational Infant school, Beech House, and then subsequently move into the single-sex Junior and Senior Schools. In addition, the School operates a day nursery with an 84 place capacity and has provision for pupils to attend a before and after School club.

A large Foundation Services Department supports the School operations and within this there is a trading arm, Bolton School Services Limited (BSSL). This includes BSS Weddings and Events, BSS Leisure Services, Kidzone and Patterdale Hall, a superb Outdoor Pursuits Centre situated at the Southern end of Lake Ullswater.

As a result of the arrangements outlined above, a diverse range of employment opportunities exist within the whole School Foundation. Vacancies may be available for teachers, as well as opportunities for technicians, maintenance staff, administration staff, catering staff and outdoor activities instructors to name but a few. Those who work within the organisation are able to combine the experience and pleasure of educating and being around young people with some of the challenges of a business environment.

Bolton School actively promotes policies, procedures and practices to safeguard the welfare of children. The School is committed to equality and diversity in all aspects of employment.
