Children Learn About Remembrance Day

Infants Community

Infants at Bolton School’s Beech House spent time learning about Remembrance Day. Boys and girls watched the CBeebies Poppies film and then embraced their creativity to draw, paint, collage and print beautiful poppies.

Children also learnt to recite a poem that was shared in an assembly and considered how to treat people with kindness:

Poppy, Poppy

Poppy, Poppy what do you say?

Wear me on Remembrance Day.

Poppy, Poppy what do you tell?

Many soldiers in battle fell.

Poppy, Poppy what should we know?

That peace on earth should grow, grow, grow.

Beech House pupils also learnt a new song by Harry Styles and created a happy and good feeling that rippled through the school.
