Cross Country Teams Crowned Town Champions

In mid-November, girls from Years 7 to 11 competed in the Bolton Schools’ Cross Country Competition, hosted by Rivington and Blackrod High School. All girls ran superbly well but special mention to Georgia Clarkson in Year 9, who won her race to become the overall Bolton Town Champion.

In addition, Year 8 & 9 pupils and the Year 10 & 11 pupils were both crowned overall winners of their respective age group team competitions!

Congratulations to all team members in both age groups who played their part in securing the overall win for their team to become overall Town Champions:

Year 8&9: Georgia Clarkson (1st), Sasha Bartalotta (2nd), Molly Neville (8th), Eliza Doyle (10th), Harriet Kennedy (12th) and Amber Pilkington (13th)

 Year 10&11: Elena Bartalotta (2nd)Isabella Backhouse (3rd)Lucy Johnstone (7th)Molly Grimshaw (9th)Charlotte Harris (13th)Lucy Pickett (14th) and Zahara Muhammad (26th)

Congratulations to all girls who finished in the top 20 in their respective races, who are now eligible to compete at the Greater Manchester Schools Competition on Saturday 4 February.
