Bolton School Drama

As the end of the academic year drew to a close, pupils in both the Junior Girls’ School and Junior Boys’ School at Bolton School threw themselves into spectacular summer productions with the usual mix of endeavour, creativity and talent.

It was difficult to say who enjoyed themselves more – the cast or the audience – when Junior Girls delivered their summer concert based on the theme of Once Upon a Time. The matinee and evening performances provided a platform for girls to show off their musical, poetical, narrative and dancing skills. As you browse through the photos below, see how many nursery rhyme and children’s stories characters you can pick out!

Meanwhile, Year 6 boys, over the course of three evening shows, entertained their family and friends with a stunning rendition of Oliver Jnr! Head of school, Mr King, said: ‘They really did put on a terrific show and we may have some stars of the future amongst our ranks. I would like to thank all staff who supported the show and the community for coming along to watch but I reserve special mention for The Three Amigos: Mr Porter; Mrs Brisk and Miss Fletcher. The Year 6 team has worked so hard to ensure we have all been asking for “more” at the end of each show.’
