Patterdale Hall is a real highlight of our trainee induction and plays a vital role in helping our new starters feel part of Gateley from day one. It gives our graduates the space and time to really get to know one another and build genuine connections across their cohort. I’m absolutely delighted with the experience our new grads get at Patterdale Hall during their first week with Gateley. The Getaway is the perfect start to our cohorts’ professional careers and a great way for them to start to build their professional networks from day one. Patterdale Hall plays a hugely important role in our Gateley Graduate Getaway and the way we welcome new trainees and graduates into the firm. My main take away from the trip to Patterdale Hall was the benefits which the whole cohort has gained as a result of the trip. In subsequent training sessions after the trip, I have thought that our excitement to see each other and ability to work together as a team during any tasks presented to us has been greatly enhanced by our trip to Patterdale Hall. The setting and activities which comprised the trip allowed us to form friendships and stronger working relationships which continue to benefit us. The setting was perfect for the graduate getaway as it took us out of our natural office environments. This let us get to know each other on a closer level than would typically happen within an office setting. The staff at Patterdale Hall were very friendly and welcoming. Their enthusiasm for outdoor pursuits made the activities which we took part in during our trip enjoyable and engaging. The variety of activities made available to our group was very expansive and gave everyone an opportunity to pick something that they enjoyed

I had a great experience at Patterdale Hall. From the moment we arrived, the staff were helpful, organised, and welcoming. Each activity added real value to the programme, and I particularly enjoyed the reflective sessions which genuinely improved my self awareness. The staff were excellent at getting everyone involved, and there was always a role for each person in the group tasks. They provided enough support to guide us while still giving us the freedom to explore our own abilities, this really helped me find my place within my work cohort. We also had plenty of free time to talk and build personal relationship with others, and the relaxed nature of the activities helped us unwind and be ourselves.
