Congratulations to Bolton School Old Boy Huw Nightingale (Class of 2020), who alongside teammate Charlotte Bankes won gold for Team GB at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Huw and Charlotte claimed victory in the mixed team snowboard cross at Livigno Snow Park, becoming Great Britain’s first ever Olympic gold-medal winners on snow following a stunning performance in the final. The pair were also world champions together in 2023. This success marked one of Team GB’s gold medals at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Games and a historic moment in British winter sport history.
Everyone at Bolton School is incredibly proud of Huw’s achievement and the inspiration he brings to our community, his success is a testament to what can be achieved with talent, dedication and belief.
