We have seen an increasing demand for degree apprenticeships in recent years, and it is very rewarding to report that 2025 has been Bolton School's most successful year yet for students securing degree apprenticeships — with placements at some of the most prestigious UK institutions and leading international firms.
John Radcliffe, Degree Apprenticeship Lead in the Girls’ Division, said:
“I am continually amazed by all the achievements of our students at Bolton School Sixth Form, but I am especially impressed by those who have applied for degree apprenticeships. Navigating a highly competitive process, their success is not just the result of academic effort, but also a reflection of the character, confidence, and resilience they’ve developed during their time here.”
Fatima, who has secured a degree apprenticeship in Finance, shared her thoughts:
“I chose to do an apprenticeship because it offers a perfect mix of hands-on experience and professional development. I’m excited to learn from experts in the industry, contribute to real-life projects, as well as make progress towards a professional qualification and build a strong foundation for my future in business and finance.”
Ella offered some advice to students applying for degree apprenticeships:
“Firstly, apply for as many as you can — you can always decide later if they aren’t right for you, but you can’t apply after the deadline. Don’t worry if you don’t have lots of work experience; the companies are there to help you gain it. Finally, what helped me the most was researching the company and showing how I aligned with their values in my applications and interviews.”
Congratulations to the students who have received apprenticeship offers this year:
- Financial Services: Zahara, Fatima, Safeeya, Naomi
- Commercial: Anna
- Engineering: Ella
- Law: Harriet
- Audiology: Zara
Their success marks an inspiring step forward for Bolton School’s commitment to supporting diverse career pathways and outstanding student achievements.
