Singing The Snowman's Iconic Song

  • Cormac Halle Xmas soloist
  • Cormac and Nathan Halle

Cormac Thompson in Year 5 has been selected as one of two soloists who will sing ‘Walking in the Air’ at the Hallé’s screening of ‘The Snowman’ at the Bridgewater Hall this December. The film will be accompanied by a live performance of Howard Blake’s magical score.

This is a Cormac’s first year with the Hallé Children’s Choir, following a successful audition this summer. Despite only being new to the choir, after further auditions he was chosen to sing this iconic song and both he and his parents are understandably delighted.

He will sing in two of the Hallé’s four performances of ‘The Snowman’ and will be accompanied by the orchestra.

Cormac is one of two Junior Boys who are currently members of the Hallé Children’s Choir: Year 6 pupil Nathan Pierson successfully auditioned this summer to begin his third year with the choir.
