Junior Boys Junior Girls

Textiles artist Leigh Bowser visited the Junior Boys and Junior Girls in Year 6 to introduce the Blood Bag Project: crafting textile artworks based on blood bags to raise awareness around blood donation and the blood condition Diamond Blackfan Anaemia. This also connected with primary science lessons focussing on the heart and circulation.

Boys and girls created their own individual artworks in the workshops as well as learning more about why Leigh set up the Blood Bag Project.

The sessions linked with the Culture Festival taking place in the Boys' and Girls' Divisions, which saw older students taking part in a wide range of arts projects and creative endeavours.
