Just before the Easter holidays, Bolton School organised and hosted an Accounting, Finance and Law Careers Fair for students in the local area. A grand total of 40 exhibitors were present on the day to help students explore their future career options.
700 pupils from 16 local schools attended the event, including students from Bolton School itself. The Careers Fair was a great opportunity for them to speak to employers and higher education providers about pathways into accounting, finance and law, as well as finding out about job options and what the work entails.
Bolton School’s Director of Partnerships Jon Hitchin said: “It was great to see so many pupils from around Bolton and beyond attending the careers fair and hear from the visiting schools how much the pupils got out of it. I am even aware that several students have gained work experience and, in a couple of cases, even job interviews as a result of attending. We will definitely be repeating the event!”
