This summer, the Old Boltonians’ Lodge made a donation of £1,000 to the Open Futures Bursary Campaign. Old Boys David Poppitt (Class of 1964 and former Development Director at the School) and David Hawkins (Class of 1967) came into School to present the donation on behalf of The Old Boltonians’ Lodge.

Philip Britton, Bolton School’s Head of Foundation, was delighted to accept the Lodge’s donation to the Campaign on behalf of the School. He said: “Since the launch of the Open Futures Bursary Campaign in May, we have been delighted with the support we have received from across the School community. The Old Boltonians’ Lodge has been a regular supporter of the bursary scheme for many years, and we are delighted they have chosen to renew that support once again in favour of the Campaign.”

Members of the Lodge, many of whom are Old Boltonians, have long been supportive of the School and particularly its bursary and scholarship programmes, donating almost £30,000 over the past 25 years.

The Open Futures Bursary Campaign has raised £520,000 in gifts and pledges since its launch in May, all of which will help to secure the future growth of the School’s bursary provision.
