Boys' Division Sport

Three Boys’ Division teams made it all the way through the Town Cup competitions to compete in their age group finals this year. This is an excellent achievement that shows the high standard of football across the School.

The Year 10 team were the first to play their final against Thornleigh at the end of March. They were named Town Champions after a dramatic penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw. Well done to Harry for his decisive spot kick save.

They were closely followed by the Year 8 team, who faced Canon Slade a few days later. A superb strike from George in the final minute meant that the match ended with a 2-2 draw, but sadly the Bolton team lost out on penalties.

Finally, the Boys’ Division Year 11 team played their final again Turton High School held at Old Bolts AFC at the end of April. Following a hat-trick by Filipos and another pair of goals from Alex, the boys achieved a commanding victory with a final score of 5-0!

Well done to all three teams for making it to their finals, and congratulations to the Year 10 and 11 squads on their victories.
